Partners needed to provide formal and vocational skills for orphans
Requested by
Hope Children's CentreWho are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?
Hope Children’s Centre which was formally Christ Our Hope Orphanage Centre established in 1994, is a local community educational institution which offers formal and vocational/ technical education to mainly the vulnerable children and AIDS/HIV orphaned children as a result after the death of their parents. These are children between the ages of 4-17.
What is your project and how will it help?
Hope Children’s Centre among the many projects to be implemented when the funds are availed will include : Promotion of Orphans Education through Vocational/ Technical Skills Acquistion for Self Reliant Project.
This project is intedend for children to be equipped with knowledge and skills in vocational /technical education in anticipation of skills acquistion for those children who may not get a chance to join higher learning institutions. It is our goal to help these children become job creators rather than job seekers as most of them do stay with their extended family members, guardians and grand parents who may not be able to afford the institutional dues/charges.
How can other people partner with you on your project?
Other people globally can partner with Hope Children’s Centre and specifically to this very project through :
a) Sourcing for funding to Implement this project.
b) Locating DONORS who can donate towards the centre’s activities and can help us alleviate any challenges faced.
c) Vouching and making recommendations to good samaritans, well wishers, donors, churches globally , etc
d) Recommending Volunteers to come and offer services since we have a volunteering service componet at the centre as you visit our website on the" volunteering page" on : www.hopechildrenscentre.org
Please detail the resources that you need.
Aside from financial and volunteer assistance, we are hoping to build a two roomed block where the various training activities will be carried out, furniture, carpentry tools, sewing machines with accesssories for tailoring, cloth material and volunteer instructors.
