Sumitomo Chemical is a large chemical company working in many industry sectors (petrochemical, plastics, insecticides etc. As part of its
corporate social responsibility programme, Sumitomo Chemical also supplies the Olyset Long Lasting Insecticide Net for malaria prevention. The Olyset Net was the first long-lasting insecticidal net (LLIN) to be submitted to the World Health Organization Pesticide Evaluation Scheme (WHOPES) for evaluation and was the first LLIN to receive a full WHO recommendation.
The Olyset Net is made available in bulk quantities of 10 K units + at subsidised / humanitarian aid prices.
