Okavango Research Institute, formerly known as Harry Oppenheimer Okavango Research Centre (HOORC) provides for the study and conservation of the Okavango Delta as well as other wetlands, riverbasins and watersheds in southern Africa. HOORC specialises in natural resource management research, with a primary focus on influencing policy makers on the region’s most pressing environmental issues.
