Women Resource Center for Community Development-Rwenzori (WRCCD-Rwenzori) is a community based organization registered at district level with Reg. No 833, non-for-profit making and founded in 2010 by women of different skills and experiences. It aims at promoting the status of women and girls in the community.

WRCCD-Rwenzori is located in Kasese district, Rwenzori region of Uganda.
The center envisions to have a free, health, empowered and enlightened women society where the poor and marginalized participate in community development, with a mission to strengthen the capacity of rural women in promoting their full potential in the community.

Objectives :

•To contribute towards improved health and sanitation services in families and communities
•To establish projects for women economic empowerment through rural sustainable agriculture
•To fight against infringement of women’s human rights and other vulnerable groups including provision of legal aid services
•To promote environmental conservation

Current Activities :

-Advocating for the Rights of women.
-Promoting Health Best Practices (sanitation & hygiene and nutrition)
-Guidance and Counseling for women and young child mothers.
-Improved Farming Practices & Techniques.
-Education and Training in Skills Development.
-Promoting Spiritual Wellbeing in families.
