Reaching the Unreached Tanzania (RUT)

RUT is a national voluntary based non-governmental organization (NGO) working to address sexual and reproductive health issues and promoting access to justice in Tanzania with focus on vulnerable and marginalized populations particularly adolescent girls and young women (AGYW), women and children.
RUT works extensively around the following areas: 1. Sexual and Reproductive Health (HIV/AIDS, Family Planning, Nutrition, Maternal and Child Health and Menstrual Hygiene) 2. Access to Justice (Legal Empowerment, Legal Aid and Advocacy) 3. Human Rights and Gender Equality (Female Genital Mutilation, Gender Based Violence and Child Marriage) 4. Cross-Cutting Issues (Environment and Climate Change, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Economic Empowerment and Humanitarian Aid).
RUT undertakes her interventions through four main approaches including:
1. Community systems strengthening
2. Policy monitoring and advocacy
3. Social accountability monitoring (SAM)
4. Institutional strengthening.
