World Vision is a Christian relief and development organisation established in 1950, dedicated to working with marginalized children, families, and communities in the fight against poverty and for social justice. World Vision has been working in Taiwan since 1964, and became an independent Taiwanese NG0, affiliated to the international World Vision network in 1990. Currently the organisation works with urban minorities and marginalised people in Taiwan, cares for children, the elderly and women, runs a child sponsorship scheme that provides education and other services for poor and deprived children, and runs an Urban Aboriginal service. World Vision also provides emergency disaster relief.
