World Health Organization (WHO) - Nepal

Unverified non-profit organisation

The World Health Organization, the United Nations specialised agency for health, was established in 1948. The organisation aims to coordinate international health activities and to help governments improve health services. Health is defined in WHO’s Constitution as a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely absence of disease or infirmity. In Nepal, WHO works with the government on a range of programmes including immunisation, child and adolescent health, HIV/AIDS prevention, control of malaria and other communicable diseases, and mental health.
