The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is an international aid agency that works with communities and governments in 157 countries for the survival, development and protection of children worldwide. UNICEF Australia raises funds and awareness in Australia in support of UNICEF’s work for children. Programmes include healthcare for indigenous children in Australia and support for overseas projects such as a project in East Timor to provide out-of-school education and special assistance to vulnerable and homeless children.
