World Vision - Sudan

World Vision is a Christian relief and development organisation working for the well being of all people, especially children. Through emergency relief, education, health care, economic development and through raising public awareness they seek to promote the situation of the needy and provide for their basic necessities. World Vision commenced humanitarian work in Darfur in June 2004, but its operations in Northern Sudan date back to 1983. Currently, World Vision Northern Sudan operates in Darfur, Blue Nile, and Khartoum states. Preparations to start rehabilitation and reconstruction activities in Kassala state are well underway. World Vision Northern Sudan runs a host of relief, recovery, and development programmes that seek to contribute to peace and reconciliation in Sudan, while directly and indirectly benefitting more than 1.5 million people in communities across this region.
