PACTEC Kazakhstan
Unverified non-profit organisation
PACTEC Kazakhstan is a branch of Partners in Technology International (PACTEC), a US-based non-profit public benefit corporation established in 1994. It offers expertise and assistance to government agencies and humanitarian organisations in the fields of transportation, aviation, communication and technical education. Since 2000, PACTEC Kazakhstan has focused on installing high-frequency radios in hospitals and clinics in remote areas. This radio linkage enables better access to medicines/medical supplies, and has helped to provide effective and reliable health care to Kazakhstan’s isolated, rural population. It is also working to establish a repair and training centre to teach Kazakh workers how to maintain the existing radio system and how to further extend it.
