Founded in 1999, the Commonwealth Policy Studies Unit (CPSU) is a think-tank based at London University’s Institute of Commonwealth Studies. The CPSU activities are project-based and are carried out in partnership with other organisations around the Commonwealth. The CPSU projects focus on a variety of issues affecting the Commonwealth states, among which non-governmental public action, the interaction between civil society and the state, indigenous land rights and resource management, globalization and its impact on developing counties, and environmental protection. The CPSU also organizes conferences, dialogues, workshops and seminars. Most of its projects’ findings are also available on the website in the publications section.
