Evergreen is a Christian NGO that aims to be a part of China’s economic and spiritual development by serving the people of Shanxi province in Northern China. Evergreen consists of an international team of Christian professionals working in the local community through medicine, orphan care, education, community centres, elder care, mental health and other development projects. The organisation has three teams of Chinese and expatriate staff working in and around Taiyuan, the provincial capital and is responsible for the care of 54 children with special needs through its orphan care programme.
