Local Initiative for Sustainable Development (LISUDEV) is a non-profit organization that seeks to improve the quality of life, promote wellbeing and reduce poverty among underprivileged and disadvantaged populations and communities in Cameroon. LISUDEV works to ensure improved access to education, water and sanitation and healthcare, as well as empowering women and young girls so that they can live self-sufficient lives and become actors of development in their communities.

LISUDEV operates through an integrated, participatory and collaborative approach. This NGO actively involves stakeholders and beneficiaries at every stage of the project cycle. The purpose is to ensure the beneficiaries have feelings of ownership of the project, take good care of it, protect it, and gain skills that can allow them to carry out similar projects in their respective communities. LISUDEV also ensures accountability and protection of the beneficiary’s rights and leverage technology and innovation in their initiatives to ensure lasting impact.
