The Indus Society for Rural Development (ISRD) is a Pakistani NGO that began by promoting self-help in regard to saving and internal lending. The organisation has also established the Earth Stars Academy in Islamkot, providing high school level English medium education. Overall, ISRD aims to
improve food security and household income in rural areas, promote good health through increasing awareness on the causes of various diseases as well as promotion of safe motherhood, to promote access to safe and potable water, good sanitation and hygiene, to promote quality education, adult literacy and vocational skills for vulnerable young people and women and to support environmental conservation.
