Appropriate Technology Asia (ATA) provides programmes to facilitate capacity building of local communities, the provision of improved water and sanitation facilities, the introduction of new agricultural techniques, provision of training in health, education, the environment, micro-credit and vocational skills, and the promotion of low cost and environmentally low impact technologies. ATA strives to implement solutions that are suitable and fitting for the local people given their natural environment and cultural and religious preferences.
