World Education (WE) is an international NGO headquartered in the US that provides training and technical assistance to to the nonformal educational sector in 50 countries worldwide. Projects are designed to contribute to individual growth, as well as to community and national development. In Senegal,WE manages a scholarship program for disadvantaged girls in collaboration with local NGOs, which includes an HIV/AIDS education program and a micro-credit element. In addition, there are programs that develop women’s civic leadership through radio and journalism as well as a program to promote peace education.
