World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organisation established in 1950, dedicated to working with children, families and communities in the fight against poverty and for social justice. World Vision has been working in Honduras since 1974. Currently the organisation runs a micro-enterprise development progamme, an education programme supporting the national education system, an emergency response and disaster mitigation programme, a disease prevention programme and a food security programme. The Chagas Disease project works with 45 communities to control the spread of this disease.
