World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organisation established in 1950 dedicated to working with children, families and communities in the fight against poverty and for social justice. World Vision has been active in Ecuador since 1978, working in a participatory way with the poorest communities. Currently the organisation runs programmes in health, education and economic development and advocates for the eradication of labour exploitation and violence. World Vision also contributes to emergency relief and rehabilitation and runs a micro-business development fund.
