Opportunity International’s mission is to provide opportunities that enable people suffering chronic poverty to transform their lives by creating jobs, stimulating small businesses and strengthening communities. OI works through independent local partners who provide small business loans, savings schemes, training and counsel. Loan funds are recycled time and time again.

Opportunity provides financial services (loans, savings) and business training to over 1.9 million people (84% women) in 24 developing countries. In addition, Opportunity International also provides innovative micro insurance policies to over 1 million people.

Opportunity UK both raises and invests funds to help establish and strengthen partner microfinance organisations, advocating for the poor and increasing awareness of microfinance.
