The Foundation for International Community Assistance (FINCA International) is a not-for-profit microfinance organization providing financial services to the world’s lowest-income entrepreneurs so they can create jobs, build assets and improve their standard of living. FINCA seeks to break the cycle of poverty in the world’s most desperate communities by providing small loans, savings programs, insurance protection and other financial services to the working poor. Their clients include women, who make up 70 percent of the world’s poor; individuals unable to find work in the formal sector; families displaced by war and internal conflict; the rural poor; and those affected by chronic poverty.Volunteers’ generous donation of time in the areas of Human Resources, Administration, Finance, Legal, Marketing, or Information Technology helps advance FINCA’s mission to alleviate poverty worldwide.
