Caritas Internationalis is a confederation of 162 Catholic relief, development and social service organisations working to build a better world, especially for the poor and oppressed, in over 200 countries and territories. In Peru, Caritas provides emergency relief to victims of natural disasters, including the distribution of food and clothing. Caritas also runs health care and education programmes, provides training for small farmers, and assists in the reconstruction of homes.
