The Trussell Trust is a Christian charity working to bring hope and practical help to desperate and marginalised people in Salisbury, the UK and Bulgaria through sustainable, community focused projects.
As well as raising funds, their community focused charity shops provide volunteering opportunities for people of all abilities and backgrounds. Supported volunteer programme offers work-based placement to over 60 people with mental, physical and social difficulties in Salisbury, giving them the necessary skills to enable them to fully engage with the wider community. Each shop works in partnership with the trust’s foodbanks to give emergency food to people in crisis. The organisation also provides residential training centres for young people leaving orphanages at 18 and work with Roma NGOs to provide essential healthcare, including HIV, TB and STD testing.
