Sewalanka was established in 1993 as a development NGO with a mandate to address the needs of vulnerable communities in neglected and disadvantaged regions of Sri Lanka. It is a development organisation that has also served as a relief agency providing humanitarian aid to conflict affected communities. Sewalanka’s strategy and programs aim to take communities from the conflict situation in need of relief aid to a long term program of sustainable development.
