RedR India is part of the RedR International network and an independent voluntary organisation based in India, active in the general area of disaster management. The organisation aims to build capacity throughout southern countries by providing training and providing personnel for a range of development activities including water and sanitation, engineering and health. RedR India also maintains a register of professional volunteers available to work on contracts related to emergency relief run by organisations such as Oxfam and UNICEF. RedR India rebuilds lives in times of disaster by training, supporting and providing aid workers to relief programmes. They do this by delivering appropriate and specialist training to humanitarian organisations and their staff, enabling them to respond to the needs of those affected, efficiently and safely.
