Habitat for Humanity Nicaragua, an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, supports the social production of habitat so that the role and resources of communities is strengthened. The volunteer-driven organization works to meet the needs of low income Nicaraguan families, with an emphasis on female-headed households, families with three or more dependent, families of people with diminished capacity or different, and families with income level monthly or less $ 350. The organization provides training and technical assistance in building systems and to promote the legalization of land. It also works in carrying out disaster relief projects.
