TravelAid is an Oxford-based, student run charity, working with grass-root NGOs in the developing world to alleviate poverty through education and social empowerment. The organization mediates between university students who would like to travel and volunteer during their summer and project sites across the globe who need some helping hands and minds. TravelAid aims to provide an opportunity for students to broaden their horizon and, as well as support people, in particular children, in developing countries. Projects include teaching, working out microfinance schemes, and improving sanitation conditions among others.
