With the financial support of the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage, Volunteer Canada is able to provide an online resource for volunteer opportunities or for finding volunteers. In its capacity, Volunteer Canada aims to encourage Canadians to volunteer, improve the way in which organisations involve volunteers, and enhance the volunteer experience. Volunteer Canada also helps manage the Community Support Centre, a national development agency.
