Rwenzori Association For Vulnerable And Orphan Children is a not-for-profit registered Community Based Organization (CBO) dedicated to promote and empower rural communities out of poverty, help HIV / AIDS affected children, war affected and disaster affected children and infected people, and to be the most competent and effective organization in providing services to alleviate mass suffering through the care and support of children, widows, orphans, and the disabled.
Mission
Improving the quality of life of the vulnerable children, women, men and orphans through providing education, giving care, love and support. Additionally to promotes empowerment of rural Community vulnerable people in various areas affecting humanity.
Activities
The followings had been established in the community so to improve the life of vulnerable children.
• Vulnerable and orphan child education
A school that caters for OVC that is located at Kajwenge trading centre has been established. Currently supporting 85 children both male and female. The children are supported with scholarstic materials like books, pencils, pens, paying part of school tuition fee, mattresses and gifts.
