The main objective of the Bharat Integrated Social Welfare Agency (BISWA) is to mobilise public opinion and generate resources for supporting development action on a sustainable basis with complete community participation. At present, BISWA is actively engaged in different developmental activities in 30 districts of Orissa.

They various goals set up, however, the 3 main goals at their top priority list are:

• Eradicate extreme poverty and hunger.
• Achieve universal primary education.
• Promote gender equality and empower women.
