GiveIndia is a web portal that seeks to raise donations to assist projects in India. Owned and managed by the GIVE Foundation, a professionally managed not-for-profit organisation based in Ahmedabad, India, GiveIndia does not operate any charities directly but instead acts as the channel connecting donors with certified non-governmental organisations (NGOs) across India. NGOs wishing to partner with GiveIndia have to satisfy a minimum set of conditions called “Credibility Alliance Norms” (see website for details). GiveIndia informs donors how their money was used through its feedback reports. Since inception, over 30,000 donors across the globe have been able to impact over a million lives by supporting 150 organisations through GiveIndia.
