The Ericsson Response Programme is a global initiative developed by Ericssson, an international telecommunications company. The Response Programme is designed to respond rapidly to disasters by providing volunteers and mobile communication equipment in disaster areas, and by working in partnership with relief organisations such as the UN, the IFRC, the Red Cross and Red Crescent. The Programme also has a research and development arm. and is involved in advocacy to increase awareness of disaster response.
