The Samaritans Multi-Lingual Service Hong Kong is a non-religious charity that provides confidential emotional support to persons in despair or feeling suicidal. They operate a 24 hour hotline service in English and Cantonese, although some volunteers may also know other languages. They also correspond through e-mail or letter. The Samaritans also work to increase community awareness of the issues of suicide and depression.
