Shelter of Smiles Uganda (SOSU) is inter denominational Christian, nonprofit, nongovernmental organization (NGO) with its overall goal of improving the holistic well-being of the people. It’s operating currently in Te Dam village, Barapwo Parish, Lira sub-county in Lira District.
Shelter of Smiles Uganda is dedicated to transforming the lives of the rural communities through provision of safe water sources, sponsorship programs, teaching the word of God as a way of life transformation strategy and provision of bibles to young children to enable them grow in Christian foundation and biblical maturity.
SOSU is a leading grass root community based organization that works with the communities to combat the challenging situation faced by the rural poor through initiating and empowering the communities with personal skills for life sustainability based on water plan activities.
SOSU has started this program with the communities affected by these challenges using manual means while requesting for water drilling equipment to help them support many communities who are dwelling within the water drought.
