Boeing helps critical Mercy Corps programs get off the ground

Immediately following the the Indian Ocean Tsunami, Boeing committed $1 million to tsunami relief efforts, split among three humanitarian organisations including Mercy Corps.

Boeing worked with Mercy Corps in 2004 to provide disaster-assistance funding for survivors of the Bam, Iran earthquake. The company recently allocated a generous sum to launch agricultural programs in northern Uganda to help war-displaced families establish family farms.

In 2008, Boeing, Shenzhen Airlines, Medical Teams International, and Mercy Corps have joined to deliver nearly three tons so far of medical supplies for victims of the earthquake in China in an effort called “Flight of Hope.”
