This video introduces VisionSpring, a project jointly implemented by the SCOJO Foundation, Goldman Sachs, and various other groups in the private sector.
The project aims to empower local people to start their own businesses by helping them to see better. VisionSpring uses “vision entrepreneurs” to deliver affordable reading glasses to some of the world’s poorest and hardest to reach communities in India, Mexico, Central America, and Africa. The project has already delivered more than 100,000 pairs of glasses.
