Humanity First Uganda is a charitable trust organization, aid agency established and registered in Uganda to promote and safeguard the preservation of human life and dignity. They provide aid and assistance to those in need regardless of race, religion or political affiliation.
Humanity First Uganda is a non–political, non-religious, non-sectarian relief and development agency that works with the country’s poorest and most vulnerable people.
Humanity First Uganda is a branch of Humanity First International registered in 50 countries across 6 continents, and has been working on human development projects and responding to disasters since 1994. These have included the earthquakes in Turkey, Pakistan, Japan and Iran, floods in Africa and Latin America, storms and tsunamis in the USA, Indonesia and Bangladesh, and conflicts in Eastern Europe.
Most of their aid workers and the management of Humanity First Uganda are unpaid volunteers with experience in various projects. Therefore, this makes the administrative expenses negligible and hence delivers significant aid value in the field from the funds they raise.
Humanity First has been established in Uganda since 2006 and has been able to respond to a range of modest scale local disasters as well as focusing on longer term projects. Humanity First Uganda is involved the establishment of IT training centers, water filtration facilities, children’s education and public health programs.
