Hope for Africa International was established in 1996 by the late Rev John Jailas Chisala and Dr. Charles Mwape with a vision to provide humanitarian support to vulnerable people without looking at doctrinal differences. The Organization was registered in Zambia on 4th December 2001 as a Non Governmental under registration certificate number ORS/102/ 35/ 2441. In appreciating HOFAI’s work, the Government of the Republic of Zambia exempted the Organization from Value Added Tax (VAT) and Duty through the Ministry of Finance and National Planning, Identity number: 498693.
