Uganda Youth Development and Training Programme –UYDT is a youth; women led and focused organization formed in 2014. It’s registered under the district Local Government-Bukedea Town Council as a community Based organisation. UYDT works within a broad aim of enhancing Community efforts in promoting socioeconomic empowerment as well as leadership and mentorship for effective decision making among women and young people in the rural communities. UYDT works to ensure that women, young people and community members at large are able to realize their full potential, come up with innovative solutions to their problems as individuals within their communities. UYDT believes that Education, training, mentorship, economic empowerment and information sharing are very fundamental in the wellbeing and holistic development of rural communities. That’s why UYDT works to provide hands on skills to youths, women and people with disabilities as a means of empowerment and ensuring that people living in rural communities live a quality life coupled with dignity, equality and ability to sustain their livelihoods.
