St. Henry's High School Kaboyo

Unverified non-profit organisation

St. Henry’s High School Kaboyo is a non government institution located in one rural environment of Kisekka Sub-county in Lwengo District. It was established with an aim of providing high quality education to the orphaned and vulnerable children ( OVC ) in the area. The school started as a development strategy in order to restore hope and solace in the broken hearts of the OVCs living under difficult circumstances. Many of the OVCs in this area have resorted to commercial sex work, child commercial labour and are victims of rape, sexual abuse, unwanted pregnancies and physiological trauma. Many of them have no hopes for tomorrow because of the circumstance that surround them. At worst some of these children are HIV positive. These OVCs like other children need love, comfort, guidance, clothing’s, education, food, health and other basic necessities of life. The poor economic status and the limited financial resources of the families where these OVCs come from automatically reflect in the schools activities. Most of them pay nothing and cannot contribute anything. The situation is very critical.

At present the school is in great need for support either in cash or kind. There is need/ a call therefore for both local and international organizations/ communities/ groups/development partners and private individuals to contribute in order to improve the situation under which these children live, grow, study and survive. Partial contributions to our projects are also welcome.
