Joint Relief Society is an organisation in Najja alumni community reaching out to orphans, settling street kids and the needy through education, building skills for future use and music dance and drama. Their premises are at Najanakumbi at Welaga Rd. The Society is taking care of 120 children who really need joining hand to improve their lives. They also reach out in communities of Katwe, Kisenyi, Mengo, Gomba district where different youths were taught and empowerment work is done.
Here are the following volunteers needed:
Childcare Givers and Social and Community Workers
Medical & Community workers
Computer Teachers & IT Instructors
However, volunteers are also needed in other areas, as detailed in the attached document. We always need more volunteers to help in our orphanages and youth community projects in Uganda. Not only is it a great chance to give something back, but it is an opportunity to learn more about the country and how people live in Uganda, challenges orphaned children go through and opportunities to make a difference in the lives of these children.
Joint Relief Society (JRS) welcomes volunteers with or with no special skills. The most important attribute needed is to have love, passion and compassion to work with less privileged children and youth in a third world environment.
