BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
RWENZORI YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND ORPHANS CARE FOUNDATION is an organization that was founded in 2017 by a group of youth who mind about development and thinking about initiatives that are pro-development. The organization is aimed at supporting the youth to gain skills for development, and also support the children, especially the orphans and vulnerable children in the rural areas, the street children, and abandoned children in the Rwenzori Region. The organization is providing support in different areas as indicated in the programs below.
Vision: Improved lives of the rural youth, orphans and other vulnerable children
Mission: To enhance a society of the youth and vulnerable children that is protected and economically empowered.
Objectives.
i. Enhance and strengthen Organizational Development to effectively and efficiently plan and implement programs and projects.
ii. Improve the Health status of vulnerable children, orphans and the elderly by reducing mobility and mortality arising from common diseases and health emergencies.
iii. Enhance Human Rights and Good Governance in the Rwenzori Region.
iv. Scale up interventions aimed at economic empowerment and livelihood improvement of the disadvantaged people to empower communities for self-Reliance and self-sustenance
v. Enhance education programs and skills development for reduced illiteracy levels and skills development in value chain livelihood development to improve productivity.
vi. To advocate for pertinent issues and lobby for services that would help the development of our communities in the Rwenzori region
vii. To enhance the conservation of Environment and the management of Natural Resources for sustainable development in Rwenzori Region
Program Activities:
The organization shall engage but not limited to the following program activities:
i. Economic empowerment and livelihood improvement

iv. Environmental Conservation and Natural Resources Management
v. Capacity building and institutional development
