Unverified non-profit organisation
HOVCU is a national Charity community based organization Located at Adyel Kasubi, Omito ward boundary road Adyel Division, Lira Municipality, Lira District, Northern Uganda. The organization runs local services, helping children and young people when they are at their most vulnerable.
During a 20-year period of vicious armed conflict in northern Uganda, woman and children were captured by rebels and forced to become soldiers and sex slaves. As they escaped, they tried to return back to their home communities, but the communities rejected them. The organization therefore has a plan to build and establish a Center for Orphans and Vulnerable children, elders and child mothers at Bar-Lonyo in Ogur Sub County, Lira district, particularly for war affected and devastated communities.
