Shule Foundation Inc
Unverified non-profit organisation
Shule Foundation is a registered 501C3 organization working in Uganda that works exclusively with boys ranging in age from 6 to 18 who are living on the streets of Kampala and Mbale. Through various programs – outreaches, skills training, family reunification, sponsorship, counselling and rehabilitation – Shule breaks the cycle of street life and mentor boys into becoming financially independent gentlemen.
Through our programs, our charity organization works to expand the availability of quality learning opportunities — formal, technical, and vocational — to at-risk boys living across Uganda, empowering them with the skills they need to grow up to become self-sufficient, socially aware gentlemen.
Shule conducts outreaches, operates a drop-in-center, and has a transitional home. In addition, we provide rehabilitation services, counselling, medical care, skills training, family reconciliation, educational sponsorship, and much more for the street-connected boys of Uganda.
35-40 boys living on the streets visit us daily at our drop-in-center. We serve two nutritious meals, offer English, math, and computer classes, skills training workshops, and counselling. The boys can shower, wash their clothes, enjoy board games and other extra-curricular activities.
