New Sight Eye Care is a charity working in the Republic of Congo to give the priceless gift of sight. For 4 out of 5 blind persons in the world, their condition is preventable or treatable, and half of them could regain sight with a simple cataract operation. There are proven and high cost-effective solutions, but they are not available to the majority of the people in Congo. We have a passion to help these people see again. When sight is restored, lives are transformed – not just for the patients, but also their families and even the whole community.
Following the success of our Impfondo eye centre, we are planning the construction of a new eye hospital in Ouesso. We are currently fundraising for the hospital.
