Crisis Advocacy Movement Sierra Leone (CAMSL) was founded by a group of passionate young individuals determined to address and mitigate crises in Sierra Leone. Recognizing the urgent need for action in the face of ongoing challenges, CAM Sierra Leone was born out of a shared commitment to make a tangible difference in the lives of vulnerable communities. These challenges have been with communities for decades. As young motivated organization CAMSL identifies these challenges as crisis, which are advocating to the nation and the world to help mitigate.
Mission : CAM’s mission is to empower youth to advocate for and address pressing global crises, with a primary focus on mitigating crisis situations in Sierra Leone. Through proactive engagement and collaborative efforts, CAM Salone endeavours to foster resilience, sustainable development, and positive change.
Objectives:
1. Raise Awareness: CAM aims to raise awareness about the root causes and impacts of crises, educating communities, stakeholders, and policymakers to foster understanding and support for sustainable solutions.
2. Advocacy and Policy Influence: CAM seeks to advocate for policies and initiatives that address the underlying issues contributing to crises, advocating for systemic change and governmental action at all levels.
3. Community Engagement: CAM is committed to engaging with local communities, empowering them to take ownership of their development and resilience-building efforts through capacity-building, training, and grassroots initiatives.
4. Partnerships and Collaboration: CAM recognizes the importance of collaboration and partnerships in achieving its mission, actively seeking opportunities to work with like-minded organizations, governments, and stakeholders to maximize impact and leverage
