The Volunteer Youth Doctor Association is a Cambodian NGO that aims to provide free health and dental care to people in need. The Association, comprised of doctors and medical students in Phnom Penh, hopes to raise sufficient funds in the next three years to acquire a building to serve as a centre from which to operate. It is our great opportunity to inform you that VYDA has mainly clear goal to help enhance the healthcare of Cambodian poor people at all localities who have no enough capacity to reach public and private healthcare services through providing the free dental and medical services to them. Since its establishment, VYDA has so far had four missions.- One was the mission which VYDA provided a set of food and some medicaments to the 1050 elder and children who participated in the morning ceremony of the King Father Norodom Sihanouk on 03-Jan-2013 in front of the Royal Palace.
- Second was the outreach mission to Bak Kreng in Kandal Province on March 2nd, 2013, which provided both free medical and dental services, including distributing drugs, providing dental check-up and extracting teeth to the 530 villagers living there.
- Third was the mission to Kompong Chhang Province which provided both free medical and dental service to 1038 villagers living there.
- Four was the Prek Ta Sek Village in Phnom Penh which provided both free medical and dental service to 718 villagers living there.
