Samusocial Romania is the only Romanian NGO providing direct social and medical assistance in the streets to over 5,000 homeless people living in the streets of Bucharest. The organisation is a member of the International Samusocial network of organizations, that aims to reduce the number of people dying in the streets because of social and medical emergencies. In Romania the Samusocial organisation provides the only night emergency shelter for homeless people in Bucharest, the only medico-psycho-social office for homeless people in Bucharest and mobile teams that provide assistance to homeless people. Samusocial also developed the first Social Insertion Workshop for Adult Homeless People in Romania, funded by European Social Fund.
