Disabled Multi Purpose Association of Zambia LTD
Unverified non-profit organisation
Since 2011, the organisation has been fully involved in empowering both disabled and venerable people in education, agriculture, housing, skills training and youth development programs. The organisation has a membership of three thousand beneficiaries and a labour force of 150 workers. It aims to initiate projects for job creation, empowerment and skills. The organisation educates people to use their local resources for sustainability.
They believe that disability is not inability. Therefore, they encourage and teach disabled people not to be beggars but main initiators of projects for sustainability. With the little resources available the organisation has been actively supporting its clients in agricultural programs, through the provision of fertilisers for food security in which 7000 clients benefited.
They also have been sponsoring children to schools through the provision of school uniforms and books. So far, 1200 children have benefited. Their target is to reach 100 000 children.
