Congo Yetu Initiative (CYI) is a grassroots and nonprofit making organization which facilitates, aim to provide support and empower women and children victims of sexual violence in East of Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The volunteer team comes from many professional and personal backgrounds, from many ages, and from across the Southern Countries in which they work and western countries. CYI members believe in sharing knowledge and creating opportunities for women and children who are victims of war in the DRC, regardless of religion or ethnicity. Mission Building lives towards nation transformation through, To empower women and children; stop violence by promoting the use of effective conflict management and resolution strategies; To engage the state and non-state parties in developing collaborative approaches towards peace and sustainable development; To promote and facilitate democratic good governance, justice, stability, accountability and transparency.

The organization believes to become a centre of excellence in promoting sustainable peace, security, development and children and women rights by sharing knowledge and creating opportunities for the underprivileged regardless of religion, caste, creed, ethnicity and background.
To work towards supporting clients through lifecycle needs, such as economic, financial, education and healthcare, leading to Holistic development.
