Swahiba Youth Networks (SYN) works with young people, especially the less privileged ones in urban slums. SYN is more of a group of friends, “SWAHIBA”, who share the passion, desire to learn and a hunger to serve the needy. The organisation operates at the Kibera slums in Kenya which are the second largest slums in Sub-Saharan Africa and which have been adversely affected by HIV/AIDS. SYN oversees the operation of an orphans and vulnerable children programme, and ensures that the right to better living conditions for the young people is promoted.
